Robust demand at Spanish debt auction
Spain sold 5.57 billion euros of debt on Tuesday, at similar yields on 6-month and 12-month bonds as those seen at the previous auction. The total demand of the auction reached 13.311 billion euros.
The Spanish Treasury sold 2.55 billion euros of the shorter maturity and 3.024 billion of the longer. The average yield on the 6-month paper was 0.85%, only slightly down from 0.88% seen at the previous auction, and on the 12-month paper it rose to 1.54% from 1.47%.
