Forex: EUR/GBP edges higher after BoE

The pound weakened slightly versus most competitors after the Bank of England decided to keep its main interest rate unchanged at 0.5% and the amount of the bond-buying program also steady at £375 billion.

EMU: ECB keeps refi rate at 0.75% in February, Draghi speaks at 13:30 GMT

The February 7 meeting came to the decision of keeping rates unchanged: the main refinancing operations and the interest rates on the marginal lending facility and the deposit facility will remain unchanged at 0.75%, 1.50% and 0.00% respectively. The ECB monetary policy announcement and Mario Draghi's press conference are due at 13:30 GMT.
