Japan GPIF is not investing in US infrastructure bonds

Speculation has been on the rise since the start of the year that Japan may buy dollar-denominated “infrastructure bonds” as a way to take part in Trump’s promised upgrade of US infrastructure.

However, Japanese Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) has ruled out the idea. The fund does not intend to invest in the US infrastructure bonds.
